Volunteer Opportunities

“The work PTAs do is vital to the health of our schools and the education of our children. For a PTA to become and remain healthy, it must find ways to engage members and nonmembers alike in working to improve the educational environment for students. By recruiting volunteers, helping them succeed, and continuing to motivate their efforts, PTAs can ensure their units remain an effective and active voice for children, families, and education.”

As opportunities arise, the Longview PTA will reach out to parents who submitted volunteer forms at the beginning of the year. If you are interested in being more involved or would like to know what opportunities are available, please contact .

About the parent teacher Association

“To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.”

The National Parent Teacher Association states: “Membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission and purposes of Parent Teacher Association. Individual members may belong to any number of PTAs and pay dues in each. Every person who joins a local PTA® automatically becomes a member of both the state and national PTAs.

Together we are a powerful voice for children. With your help, we can continue to work toward PTA’s goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child.”
